I was born and raised in Oklahoma City and have never left. I attended OSU and OCU. I've been married to Judy Jones '59 for 47 years and we have three children, two girls and a boy. We have nine grandchildren.

After working for Kerr-McGee Corporation in Oklahoma City for 35 years, I retired in 1991. I opened my own Video Rental & Sales Store in 1989 and operated it for almost ten years. I formerly belonged to The Scottish Rite at Guthrie, OK, and the Siloam Masonic Lodge and India Temple Shrine, both in Oklahoma City. I'm the Past President of the Kerr-McGee Retirement Club. I was active in a church choir at two United Methodist churches from 1961 until 2005 and currently belong to Resurrection Free Methodist Church.

I have enjoyed collecting music in every format (78s, 45s, LPs, Cassettes, Eight Tracks and CDs) nearly all my life and have an extensive collection of all of these formats. I enjoy keeping over 250 of my classmates informed of class events via e-mail including reunion announcements, classmates in the news and deaths of classmates. I have coordinated our last two reunions (2000 and 2005) and I cherish the renewed relationships with old friends as well as getting to know classmates I didn't know very well while attending Classen. I have four aunts and uncles who graduated from Classen: Clyde Doty '28, Velma Doty Linn '32, Charlie Doty, Jr. '36 and Sunshine (Sunny) Doty Hughes '38.

I strongly encourage all graduates of Classen to join the Alumni Association. We have an award-winning magazine, The New Classen Life that is published quarterly you will receive upon becoming a member. We are very proud of our magazine and I think you would enjoy receiving it and reading about your classmates as well as many famous Classen graduates. The membership dues are currently only $15.00 a year which includes The New Classen Life which is 40 pages of many color and black & white photos. I'm very proud of Classen High School and the Classen Alumni Association. It is truly an honor to be selected to serve as President for the next two years.
